Our Story

We are Andrew & Samantha, a Husband and Wife team from South Wales UK who love all things film. We are both very artistic, Andrew is a fine artist and Samantha a Bridal Seamstress and lover of crafts.

Andrews love of film started when he was just 6 years old being exposed to films that were way above his age rating thanks to his older siblings. His love of books led him to Stephen King and titles such as IT, Pet Semetary, Misery & The Shining became firm favourites in both books & film and are still today. Andrew graduated as a BA in Art & Film back in 2005 and has since made two feature films and created stunning pencil portraits of his favourite film directors & actors.

Samantha graduated from costume construction for theatre and film back in 2009 and since then has worked for many companies in and out of TV and Theatre. Including the Wales Millennium Centre, BBC, Theatre Nanog, Cameron Mackintosh as well as Costume designer on Andrews two feature films. Since starting a family in 2013 Samantha has set up her own business in the Bridal industry sewing and altering wedding dresses. She is now the proud owner of a very successful bridal alteration businesses with a few awards under her belt and a wealth of knowledge.

Together last year we decided we wanted to create something that we could do together. Bringing our passion for film and Andrews love of drawing together we created Filmhead Threads. As a pair of film lovers ourselves we thought the business name was apt for us! We felt we can bring a new take on the Film T-shirts and add our own twist to appeal to the real film fans.

Andrew has always loved and worn T-shirts representing his favourite films. He likes the understated ones that don't scream the film outright. If you know you know as they say. Our ethos is to stand out from the crowd and not be like all the other T-shirt companies and offer something new. We like our customers to think about what film our designs are from and create a talking point amongst the wearers friends & family. To wear our T-shirts with pride whilst supporting their favourite films.
